Description of Campylobacter jejuni

• taxonomy: Bacteria; Proteobacteria; epsilon subdivision; Campylobacter group; Campylobacter
• Campylobacter jejuni is a slender, spiral-shaped gram-negative bacillus. It causes gastroenteritis in humans. It is the leading cause of food-borne gastroenteritis in developed countries such as the UK and the USA.
• The total number of ORF of Campylobacter jejuni used in this study is 1731.
